Nowadays logos are everywhere and can be bought for as little as a fiver begging the question, why do I need to invest in professional logo design? There are two main reasons which I have explained below.

1. Create a visual representation of your services.

The first reason is visually expressing your brand and the services you offer to your clients. Your businesses name is important but the visual imagery that is used alongside this is equally as important.

A successful logo is multifaceted, it needs to represent your services and ideals, evoke your client’s emotions and portray a sense of professionalism. This means it’s not all about the aesthetics, although the synergy between these points is the pathway to a strong and visually exciting logo.

A good example of how this synergy is used is apparent in the Apple logo, the emotions that this single icon elicits is incredibly strong and there is an almost cult following behind the technology brand. This has been carefully crafted over the years but the logo itself has, for the most part, remained the same.

That single icon is now arguably the most recognisable logo in the world!

2. A logo can help you build trust.

Your clients are used to seeing established brands everywhere, whether it’s on the high street or online. They have developed attachments to particular brands because of the quality of the products or services they offer.

By investing in a well-designed logo that represents your company, you are more likely to attract potential customers because customers will judge the quality of service you provide on how you present yourself.

If your logo is outdated, badly designed or simply doesn’t reflect what your company does, your clients will see your services in the same light. It’s important to take a step back at times and allow your designer to carefully craft a logo that takes all this into account.

Once you have a logo that you’re proud of and that connects with your customers, be sure to keep investing into it. Not all logos can be timeless but consistency is key and developing your logo over time will ensure your company remains diverse and contemporary.
